Equestrian Crossbody

Late last summer I stumbled upon this beauty while perusing Etsy and immediately fell in love. It’s vintage Etienne Aigner and has a similar structure to that of the Hermès Kelly. I love the oxblood color, the bag’s versatility (with its strap and handle), as well as the equestrian hardware and overall vintage charm. And similarly to how I shared this bag, and this one too, I felt compelled to photograph this gem of a satchel and share it with you.

If you couldn’t tell, I’m a bit of a bag lady – always have been, always will be.

It’s in the Bag

The following miscellaneous items are the things that I currently carry around with me wherever I go:

Kate Spade 2012 desk top spiral calendar / An equestrian key fob holding car and house keys / Banana Republic aviator sunglasses / Baggu reusable bag / Banana Republic lip treatment / esos summer fruit lip balm / Chanel velvet body cream / Notebook and pen / iPhone & J.Crew case / Headphones / H&M coin purse / Abas wallet / Orbit spearmint sugar-free gum

The handbag is from H&M – I believe I bought it in January or February of this year.

New Season, New Bag

I bought this Dooney & Bourke handbag (which was on sale, ridiculously so) way back in the beginning of November.  Since purchasing it, it has been safely tucked away in the back of my closet until last week when I was doing a bit of spring cleaning and decided that it was finally time to take the plunge and break it in.  There are so many things to love about this bag – the fact that it has handles and a strap, the many pockets in its interior, as well as the bright, vibrant red lining (my favorite).  I also love that it is a color (I would say a purplish navy), and yet it works as a neutral.  Additionally, the fabric has a sort of waterproof sheen that reminds me of a raincoat, which is just another reason why I adore this handbag and think that it is perfect for the spring season!

A Bag From Barneys

I have been holding onto a Barney’s gift card for the past 6 ½ years (yes, you read that correctly) and have been waiting for just the right handbag to use it on.  I knew that a great time to look for a potential purchase would be during the huge designer sale that takes place after the holidays.  A couple of weeks ago while browsing online, I happened to stumble across a gorgeous black leather satchel – the Bridget bag from Steve Alan.  It was originally $595, on sale for $239 and after sales tax was added and then the amount on my gift card deducted, I ended up paying $6.63 (yes, you read that correctly).  To make matters even better, I bought the last one available.  Hands down one of my greatest shopping experiences of my life – I am absolutely giddy.
