These butterscotch pecan cookies are yet another version of the classic Tate’s chocolate chip cookies that I have created (you can find the other versions here and here), and they are absolutely fantastic! Once again I used the same recipe for the cookie dough; however, instead of putting in 2 cups of chocolate chips, I put in 1 1/2 cups of butterscotch chips, and about a 1/2 cup of chopped pecans.

Fox & Flora
I stumbled upon Kari Herer’s Etsy shop and instantly fell in love with her ‘Fox and flower’ series. I am completely smitten with this concept of combing lovely illustrations with sumptuous flowers – they are absolutely gorgeous!

Swan Dive or Cannonball?
Kate Spade recently launched an interactive campaign video – swan dive or cannonball – celebrating their debut swim collection by malia mills. On their website you can find the interactive video, which allows you to pick the ways you want the “splashy story” to unfold. Above, is the video that has my favorite scenario – French pop and funk music with a swan dive finish! Below, is the other scenario that has flamenco and rock music with a cannonball finish. Which is your favorite?

Magnificent Jewels
Today is the Magnificent Jewels auction at Christie’s – the viewing times for the auction were this past weekend, and on Sunday I made a trip into the city to look at all of the stunning pieces, which included signed Art Deco jewels by Cartier and Tiffany, as well as other jewels from Bulgari, Fred Leighton, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Harry Winston.

Blueberry Muffins
I made these blueberry muffins a couple of weeks ago and they were gone within a matter of days. The great thing about these particular muffins are that they are a bit crispy on the outside and then soft on the inside. With this recipe (from here) you can use either fresh or frozen blueberries – I used frozen – and I love the way the frozen blueberries give the batter a blue hue!
